KJSK

Karlstads Jaktskytteklubb (KJSK) is a hunting and sport-shooting club based in Karlstad, Värmland. Founded in 1939, it describes itself as the largest hunting-shooting club in the region and provides facilities and activities for members, competitors, and groups interested in shooting. Members can access the club’s shooting ranges daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., subject to holiday closures and scheduled competitions or training. The facilities support several disciplines, including clay-pigeon shooting and rifle practice on figure targets, with electronic hit marking on an 80-metre moose range.

KJSK organises competitions, including qualifying events for Swedish championships and the two-day Solaträffen, which features up to 200 clay targets. The club also offers the opportunity to take both the theoretical and practical tests for a Swedish hunting licence. For businesses and other groups, it arranges shooting activities suitable for meetings, conferences, team events, or social gatherings, with a barbecue area available. The club shares event and booking information through its calendar and Facebook page and collaborates with Bofab Jakt Fiske Fritid and study associations.
