KJV Gelnhausen

The Kreisjagdverein Gelnhausen is a regional hunting association with around 700 members. It supports hunters in carrying out their responsibilities and represents the local hunting community in dealings with public authorities, the media, political stakeholders and interested members of the public. Its work focuses on responsible hunting, nature conservation and maintaining healthy, diverse wildlife populations, while balancing the needs of wildlife with those of agriculture and forestry.

The association’s specialist divisions cover hunting-horn musicians, young hunters, hunting dogs, nature conservation, public outreach and shooting. Its activities include dog training and examinations, shooting practice, educational opportunities, events and information about wildlife and conservation. It also encourages children and young people to learn about nature, preserves hunting traditions and promotes continuing education so members can hunt ethically and in accordance with animal-welfare principles. The association highlights game as a healthy food and shares news, schedules, reports, photographs and documents on its website. Hunters and prospective hunters can find membership information and contact the organization for further details.
