Kilkenny County Childcare Committee

Kilkenny County Childcare Committee supports the development of a quality early childhood care and education sector throughout Kilkenny City and County. The organisation serves parents, childcare professionals and service providers, offering information and resources to help families explore childcare options and providers develop their services. Its website features a childcare directory that can be searched by location, age group, service type and funding programme, helping families identify local services and contact providers about availability.

The committee shares guidance on childcare funding and affordability, centre-based care, school-age childcare and childminding. It also promotes professional development through training and events, including pre-registration training for childminders and sessions supporting early learning practice. News updates cover developments in childcare, sector initiatives, recruitment notices and the value of childminding. With dedicated sections for parents and professionals, Kilkenny County Childcare Committee acts as a local information and support resource for those seeking childcare or working to provide it. The organisation is based at Kilkenny Education Centre Campus on Callan Road in Kilkenny.
