About Klahaan
Klahaan, founded in July 2018, is an independent organization dedicated to advocating for women’s rights in Cambodia. Meaning ‘brave’ in Khmer, Klahaan empowers women to speak out and drive change across various sectors. Guided by intersectional feminist principles, Klahaan envisions a society where Cambodian women have equal rights and opportunities, including sexual autonomy.
Their mission centers on collective action to advance women’s rights in Cambodia through evidence gathering and collaborative initiatives, fostering strategic interventions by women. By providing a platform for women to demand equity and progress, Klahaan strives to strengthen the women’s rights movement and work towards a fair and just future for all women.
