The KLD Alzheimer's Foundation is an all-volunteer-run nonprofit that raises money for Alzheimer's care and research. Together, we are fighting for a future where memories last a lifetime. For all of us who volunteer with the foundation, this cause is personal. Our purpose is to turn awareness into prevention, compassion into care, and research into a cure. Founded in 2016 by the Dubea Family, we work to honor the legacy of Karen Lee Dubea who was diagnosed with Younger Onset Alzheimer's at the age of 48. The foundation serves as a commitment they made to Karen that they would fight for a day when another family would not have to go through the same thing. And fight we have. In our first 9 years, we have raised just over $500,000 to fund Alzheimer's care at Jourful Journey Adult Day Service in West Lafayette, IN, and to fund research at the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation. With your support, we can continue to make a lasting impact on families and communities affected by Alzheimer's disease.

KLD Alzheimer’s Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing Alzheimer’s and dementia research while supporting people affected by cognitive decline and their families. Its mission is to help make Alzheimer’s a memory, with a focus on ending the disease through drug discovery and strengthening access to care. The foundation works with specialist partners: the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation, described as the only nonprofit solely focused on finding drugs for Alzheimer’s and dementia, and Joyful Journey, an adult day center serving the local area and specializing in care for adults with cognitive decline.
