... [Read more...]

Kleur Keramiek is a ceramic studio based in Moordrecht, the Netherlands, creating colourful, handmade pottery inspired by nature. The studio’s work is thrown on a potter’s wheel and is distinguished by botanical decoration and a palette of muted colours and pastels with a 1950s feel. Each piece is coloured with custom-mixed engobes, often decorated using sgraffito, a technique that reveals detail by scratching through the surface layer.
The maker works with white stoneware and porcelain, using shellac decoration on porcelain for an especially delicate effect. Kleur Keramiek offers a personal collection through its Etsy shop and also accepts commissions. Alongside its ceramics, the studio provides pottery and decoration instruction, including weekly classes, private lessons, beginner wheel-throwing courses, porcelain workshops, a five-day porcelain course in Siddeburen, and a summer week in the studio.
The site also features sales and exhibition information and a selection of urns. Kleur Keramiek brings together handcrafted design, thoughtful materials and practical opportunities to learn ceramic techniques
