Klimabarát Települések Szövetsége is the only thematic association of local governments in Hungary. With over 60 member municipalities, the alliance was established by enthusiastic mayors and experts to facilitate and support local communities in adapting to inevitable changes and preparing for challenges. From small villages and towns to districts in the capital and cities throughout the country, the association represents various regions in Hungary.

Klimabarát Települések Szövetsége provides a range of services, including the development of climate strategies and SECAPs, methodological and grant consulting, and the implementation of environmental and climate-focused citizen campaigns. They also organize professional conferences, trainings, and competitions such as the annual Klimabarát Díj. As a supporting member of the Covenant of Mayors and the National Sustainable Development Council, the association actively participates in shaping sustainable development policies.
