Klima- og Omstillingsrådet

Klima- og Omstillingsrådet (KOR) is a researcher-led initiative contributing independent, evidence-based perspectives to Denmark’s public debate on climate policy and the green transition. Its members bring together expertise from technical, natural, social and human sciences, reflecting the view that no single discipline can address climate challenges alone. Rather than serving primarily as an advisory body to policymakers, KOR aims to encourage informed public discussion about the scale of the climate crisis and realistic pathways to societal change.

The organisation publishes analyses and research-based notes on topics including inequality and climate action, consumption-based emissions targets, agriculture, consumption and systemic change. Its work considers climate issues alongside wider social and environmental sustainability challenges, using a global perspective and an emphasis on a safe and fair transition within planetary boundaries. KOR also seeks to make complex research accessible and inclusive, while bringing attention to uncertainties in projections of technological, economic and social development.
