About KLKS
Kongens Livjægerkorps Skydeselskab (KLKS) is a private shooting club in Copenhagen, Denmark, with a history dating back to 1817. The club welcomes people of all ages and experience levels, offering a supportive setting where members can develop their skills and enjoy shooting as a sport. Its activities include pistol and rifle shooting at distances of 15, 25 and 200 metres, both indoors and outdoors, using small- and larger-calibre firearms.
Prospective members can arrange a trial session and attend up to three times before joining; the club says it has no waiting list. Training takes place on Mondays, with winter sessions at DGI-byen and summer sessions at Kalvebod Skyttecenter. Annual membership is listed as 400 Danish kroner, or 200 kroner for children and pensioners. Participants must meet the applicable SKV6 background approval requirement.
KLKS also holds internal competitions and hosts the annual Kongefugleskydning, a traditional event first held in 1817. The club invites interested newcomers and returning shooters to get in touch to arrange a visit.
