About Klockriketeatern
Klockriketeatern is a Finland-Swedish theater based in Helsinki. With a history of 30 years, it has become one of the most influential independent theaters in Finland. Rooted in the Swedish language, Klockriketeatern has evolved into an international meeting place with multilingual and multicultural activities.
As a nomadic theater, it doesn't have a permanent stage; instead, the world is its stage. Collaboration, interdisciplinary initiatives, social and current themes, and uncompromising artistic quality are the cornerstones of its work. In 2022, Klockriketeatern became a state-funded theater, providing even more stability for long-term planning.
They offer a diverse repertoire of performances, ranging from music compositions to intercultural productions. Currently, they are showcasing Aniara, a musical work based on Harry Martinson's classic space epic about humanity at a crossroads. Additionally, they are presenting an intercultural season at Vallgårdsscenen, featuring various forms of performing arts for a multilingual audience.
