About P
The PAD (Pädagogischer Austauschdienst) is the only government institution in Germany that is actively involved in international exchange and cooperation in the field of education. Their main focus is on promoting educational programs, facilitating collaborations, and providing various services in the school sector. Through their initiatives, the PAD enables schools and educational institutions to connect globally, find partner schools worldwide, and engage in collaborative projects with European partners through platforms like eTwinning.
They also administer Erasmus+, the European Union's program that supports general and vocational education, youth, and sports. Alongside this, the PAD implements the initiative Schulen: Partner der Zukunft (PASCH), which fosters enduring partnerships between German and international schools. With a mission to enhance international understanding and intercultural competence, the PAD plays a crucial role in shaping educational experiences and expanding horizons for students and educators alike
