The Korean Nurses Association of Australia (KNAA) is a nonprofit organisation established in 1988 to support Korean nurses and promote health within Australia’s Korean community. It registered as a nonprofit in 2012 and works to uphold Australian professional conduct and ethical standards while encouraging members to develop their potential as nurses and community leaders.
KNAA provides continuing professional development (CPD) sessions for nurses and nursing students, generally every two months. Sessions offer at least two hours of CPD recognised toward the annual requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with certificates available when needed. The association also holds nursing seminars and mock interviews for members.
Its community services include health education, first aid at Korean community events, and basic checks such as blood pressure and blood glucose screening. KNAA shares health information and participates in activities with Korean community and multicultural organisations. It also maintains international connections, including recognition as an overseas branch by the Korean Nurses Association and cooperation with the Overseas Korean Nurses Association.
