Knabenschiessen

Knabenschiessen is a cherished tradition in Zurich, celebrated as one of the city's largest folk festivals. This event features an exciting shooting competition that showcases the talents of young marksmen, culminating in the crowning of a shooting king or queen. The 2024 champion, Fabio Meier, took home a remarkable prize of CHF 5,000, highlighting the competitive spirit of this age-old event.

Beyond the shooting matches, Knabenschiessen offers a variety of cultural experiences, including lively musical performances and a vibrant chilbi (carnival) atmosphere. Visitors can expect food stalls, games, and entertainment, creating a festive environment for more than 850,000 attendees.
