Knabstrupper-Dutende

Knabstrupperzucht Hof Duten is a horse-breeding farm in the Geest region of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, specializing in the breeding and sale of Knabstrupper horses. The farm presents these horses as distinctive for their baroque build and unusual coat patterns, as well as their calm temperament, strong nerves, intelligence, willingness to learn, and readiness to work. Hof Duten has bred Knabstruppers for several years and describes the breed’s character and appearance as a continuing source of enthusiasm.

Its breeding approach aims to preserve pure Knabstrupper lines: the farm says it does not introduce outside blood and uses only stallions with pure Knabstrupper papers. The property’s light, dry sandy soil is considered well suited to horse breeding and, according to the farm, supports healthy hooves and horses that are not overly heavy. Knabstrupper horses are a rare domestic breed, and Hof Duten regards their preservation as important.
