Knights Kaderli

The Richard Knights-Sue Kaderli Memorial Fund is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization established in memory of two lifelong Orleans County residents. In 1994, the Knights and Kaderli families combined their separate memorial funds to support local cancer patients and their families. The fund provides financial assistance for needs such as nutritional supplements, prescriptions, medical supplies, and bills. Its work is guided by a board of directors, and the organization reports that it has no administrative costs, allowing all money raised to benefit Orleans County cancer patients.

The fund raises money through community events and donations, including an annual walk/run, the David Millis Golf Tournament, and Lizzy’s Loves Golf Tournament, as well as memorial contributions from individuals and organizations. Its annual memorial walk welcomes families and includes registration, a walk, lunch, and a basket raffle.
