MN Knitters' Guild

The Minnesota Knitters’ Guild is a community organization dedicated to promoting interest, appreciation, education, and fellowship in the art of knitting. Founded in 1984, the Guild welcomes knitters of all ages, backgrounds, experience levels, and locations, with members throughout the Midwest. Its activities bring people together to learn, share ideas, and enjoy fiber arts in an inclusive setting.

The Guild offers in-person and virtual gatherings, including knitting groups around the Twin Cities, casual knit-and-chat sessions, meetings, and knitting brunches. Members and guests can also take part in educational programming, service knitting, volunteer opportunities, and special events such as the annual Yarnover knitting event and Great Guild Getaway. The organization shares knitting news and resources through its blog, calendar, and online community, and provides access to information about local knitting groups, fiber businesses, and the Textile Center Library. Membership costs $30 per year, and donations help support the Guild’s work. Through events, learning opportunities, and fellowship, the Minnesota Knitters’ Guild helps connect people who share a love of knitting.
