Whodunnknit is a brand founded by Lauren O'Farrell, also known as Deadly Knitshade, an author, artist, graffiti knitting pioneer, and giant squid wrestler. Lauren's journey as a brand began during her battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, where she found solace and creativity in words and wool. Emerging from treatment victorious, Lauren became the founder of the UK's largest craft community and a pioneer in the world of graffiti knitting.

As Sneaky Graffiti Knitter, Lauren created her own persona and eventually founded the infamous graffiti yarnstorming collective, Knit The City. Known for their Parliament Square Phonebox Cosy and other crazy graffiti knits, they have been featured in numerous publications worldwide. Lauren is also a word innovator, coining the term yarnstorming to describe graffiti knitting and using amigurumi characters and items to tell stitched stories on the streets.

She has accomplished remarkable knitting feats, such as creating a corset for a week-old piglet and an 8-meter giant squid named Plarchie made from plastic carrier bags. When she's not creating street art, Lauren enjoys traveling as Purl Interrupted and writing books, fulfilling her lifelong dream. She collaborates with other talented artists at The Fleece Station, where they create mischief and inspire each other.
