Knotenhalftertouren is a horse-riding and trekking business based in Schmallenberg, in Germany’s Sauerland region. Run by Jessi and Katja, the brand brings together a shared passion for horses and the outdoors, with an emphasis on helping riders explore nature and build confidence with their horses. It is a VFD-qualified trail-riding operation, offering experiences for guests riding their own horses as well as those using one of the business’s loan horses. Riders do not need to use a rope halter; they can choose the tack that suits them and their horse.

From spring through autumn, Knotenhalftertouren offers several events each month. Options include day rides, weekend trips and multi-day treks, alongside introductory rides, a riding confidence course and themed outings such as sunrise, sunset and moonlight rides. Routes lead through Sauerland landscapes, including woodland paths, bridges and streams. The team draws on its riding and horsemanship experience to support participants through challenges along the way. The business also offers horse-loading training and buys horses described as having behavioral problems.
