Knowio provides a connected platform for managing site access and outdoor security, bringing electric gates, smart padlocks, IoT sensors and monitored CCTV controls together in one app. Designed to bridge physical and electronic security, its solutions help organisations see what is happening at entrances, manage users and respond to events remotely.

Knowio’s products include AccessIQ for monitoring padlock and gate status, and ION, which works with IoT sensors for electric gates. Components can operate independently, allowing each entrance to be configured to suit its needs. The platform supports timed access, one-time passwords, user permissions and access logs, with real-time notifications for events such as gates opening, remaining open or being opened without a CCTV system being disarmed. Users can choose self-monitoring or third-party monitoring.

Knowio also helps coordinate CCTV arming and disarming based on site occupancy, aiming to reduce false alerts. Its battery-operated smart padlocks and IoT network are designed for remote locations, with the company reporting network coverage above 99.2%.
