Kuranda Koala Gardens is a boutique wildlife attraction in the Kuranda Heritage Markets, in the rainforest village of Kuranda. Open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., the park showcases a diverse collection of Australian animals, including koalas, quokkas, wallabies, wombats, gliders, possums, reptiles and freshwater crocodiles. Its Aussie Bush Collection brings marsupials and reptiles together, while a nocturnal exhibit offers visitors a close look at animals such as greater bilbies, northern bettongs and gliders.

Guests can purchase souvenir photos while patting a koala, subject to extra charges, conditions and limited availability. Photos with large pythons are also offered for an additional cost. The attraction sells individual admission and family rates, as well as packages combining entry with nearby experiences. Options include Birdworld Kuranda, the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary and Kuranda Riverboat cruises. A small-group VIP experience, Kuranda By Design, offers time with keepers and animal encounters. Bookings are available for experiences and packages, with some requiring advance arrangements.
