Kobudo Kai is a Bratislava-based martial arts association and an official member of the Slovak Union of Okinawa Karate and Kobudo. The club teaches traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate Do, following the curriculum of the Traditional Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate Do Federation (TOGKF), and Okinawa Kobudo according to the World O-Shu Federation (WOF) syllabus. Its training connects students with established Okinawan traditions and the teaching lineages of senior instructors Morio Higaonna and Kenyu Chinen.
Alongside regular classes, Kobudo Kai organizes seminars and Gasshuku led by experienced TOGKF and WOF instructors, and its members travel internationally to deepen their knowledge. The club’s website shares information about training, coaches, recruitment, karate and kobudo history, weapons, etiquette, events, and club news. Kobudo Kai welcomes people interested in learning traditional karate and weapons arts, with an emphasis on studying the past to discover new understanding.
The association is based at Gymnázium Jura Hronca on Novohradská Street in Bratislava-Ružinov
