Kobul

KOBUL is an orienteering club based in Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic. Founded in 2011, the club brings together around 100 active members, from children and teenagers to parents and veteran runners. Its activities introduce people to orienteering, a sport that combines running with map reading and route planning: participants use a map to find checkpoints in a set order and reach the finish as quickly as possible.

KOBUL holds training sessions twice a week and welcomes newcomers who want to try the sport. The club provides information for beginners and invites prospective members to get in touch through a non-binding sign-up form. Members also take part in regional, national and international competitions, and the club organizes holiday training camps, including a summer camp in the Jizera Mountains. Its website shares training schedules, club news and information about orienteering, helping people discover how to get started and take part. KOBUL offers a community setting for learning, training and competing outdoors, where choosing a route matters as much as running speed.
