Kočevsko Outdoor

Kočevsko Outdoor is an outdoor festival celebrating the wild landscapes and active lifestyle of Slovenia’s Kočevsko region. Set among some of Europe’s most extensive and unspoiled forests, the event brings together sport, nature, and local community. The festival’s programme includes trail races over several distances, from short routes to a 60-kilometre challenge, as well as a vertical ascent to Fridrihštajn Castle.

Visitors can also join guided hikes, including a two-day route, and take part in cycling through Epic Rides Kočevje. Family activities, dog-friendly options, guided experiences, and other outdoor pursuits make the event welcoming to a wide range of visitors. After the activities, the gathering moves to Lake Kočevje, where guests can relax, swim, paddleboard, enjoy local food, and attend an evening concert.

Organised with the Kočevsko Institute and an experienced event team, Kočevsko Outdoor offers a mix of athletic challenge and leisure in a forest-rich setting. The festival is also part of the Europe Trail Cup, a series connecting trail-running events across several European countries
