Kociniec

Fundacja Kociniec Koci Sierociniec is a cat-rescue foundation based in Toruń, Poland, providing a safe haven for kittens and adult cats in need. Its residents include orphaned kittens, cats injured in accidents, and animals living with chronic illness, disability or emotional distress—many of whom have few prospects elsewhere. The foundation cares for them, arranging veterinary treatment, feeding, rehabilitation and individual support before seeking responsible permanent homes.

Kociniec also brings together volunteers, donors, businesses and other supporters around its work. People can contribute through donations, fundraising campaigns and virtual adoptions, which help cover veterinary care, food and other necessities. Supporters can also take part in a charity bazaar or puzzle-lending initiative, with proceeds directed to animal charities. In addition to rescue and care, the foundation offers behavioural consultations and delivers educational activities for children, students and older adults. These sessions promote responsible cat care, explain the role of spaying and neutering in preventing homelessness, and encourage thoughtful support for animals.
