Kohtalonmäki

Kohtalonmäki is a welcoming, characterful event venue in Jalasjärvi, in Finland’s South Ostrobothnia region. Set amid peaceful farmland, the historic timber farmhouse has stood at the heart of Mäntykoski village since the late 19th century. The property combines traditional Ostrobothnian heritage with modern comforts and provides a distinctive setting for weddings, family celebrations, birthdays, christenings, bachelor or bachelorette parties, and corporate events.

The main house is available year-round and accommodates approximately 50–60 guests for dining. During summer, the stone barn offers space for up to 120 diners and can be rented as part of the wider property. Kohtalonmäki rents its venues for full-day or shorter gatherings, with seasonal weekend bookings available for the whole estate. Tables, chairs, tableware, and a selection of decorations are included, helping hosts prepare their event. Table linens and fabric napkins are available for a laundry charge. Guests may bring their own food and drinks, and a barrel sauna and hot tub can be rented for an additional fee.
