Koinonia Community is a lay organization dedicated to promoting integral human development and community life. They strive to foster a culture of peace and solidarity, addressing the economic and social challenges caused by individualism. Their primary focus is on providing support and empowerment to marginalized and vulnerable individuals, particularly children and youth.

With programs established in Kenya, Zambia, and the Nuba Mountains of Sudan, Koinonia embraces people from diverse backgrounds and recognizes the unique aspects of their shared humanity. They offer various human development programs and social projects, including rescue centers, social enterprises, and initiatives like the Kivuli Tailoring School. Koinonia Community values inclusiveness, integrity, social justice, peace, and African and Christian spirituality.

Their holistic approach aims to help children within their family setups whenever possible, while recognizing the need for extreme interventions in certain cases.
