Koken met Sien is the private dining and boutique catering brand of chef Marlies, known as Sien, based in Cothen, Utrecht, and available at clients’ locations. The business brings fine-dining-style food and attentive hospitality to homes and special events, creating tailored experiences rather than relying on standard menus. Its services include intimate private dinners, wedding catering, business lunches and dinners, walking dinners, 21st-birthday celebrations, drinks receptions, and other parties and gatherings.
Menus are shaped around the occasion, season, dietary requirements, and guests’ preferences. Sien emphasizes carefully selected, seasonal ingredients, including products from local suppliers, and combines thoughtful presentation with distinctive flavors. The culinary offering ranges from amuse-bouches and multi-course dishes to shared dining, Indonesian rijsttafel, grazing boards, and desserts.
The experience is designed to be hands-off for hosts: after an initial consultation, Sien develops a custom menu and prepares the food on site. The team also handles the practical details, including leaving the location clean and tidy after the event.
