The Kokomo Symphony Orchestra, organized as the Kokomo Symphonic Society, Inc., is a community cultural organization serving Kokomo, Howard County, and the surrounding region. Its mission is to enrich local life through musical programs and experiences that are informative, educational, and entertaining. The orchestra presents live concerts featuring classical works and other musical selections, giving audiences opportunities to discover composers and enjoy performances by skilled musicians.
It also offers youth programs, including opportunities for young people to learn, develop their musicianship, and participate in orchestra activities. Community members can engage through concerts and events, volunteer opportunities, auditions, and audience surveys. The organization sells season tickets and welcomes contributions, monthly donations, sustaining memberships, and sponsorships to support its work.
Businesses can also promote themselves by placing advertisements in the orchestra’s season program booklet. In addition to its regular musical programming, the KSO hosts fundraising events that combine music with activities such as trivia and silent auctions
