Kokoro Dojo

Kokoro Dōjō is a martial arts and movement school in Berlin-Lichtenberg, welcoming children, teens and adults. Its name means “heart and spirit,” reflecting a philosophy that values personal growth and community alongside technique. With more than ten disciplines, small groups and experienced trainers, the dojo offers options for beginners and experienced participants, with no prior skills required. Children can start from age two, and training runs seven days a week. A free trial session is available, and there is no minimum contract term.

Courses include Isshin-Ryū and Shito-Ryū karate, Muay Thai, Korean Taekyun, traditional Jiu-Jitsu, MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Hopaesool, women’s self-defence through Wendo, acrobatics and power moves, and historical European sword fighting. Dedicated children’s and family classes include parent-child karate, kids’ karate, Jiu-Jitsu, Taekyun and acrobatics. The dojo also runs holiday camps, martial arts birthday parties, school and childcare projects, and corporate seminars. Its 400-square-metre facility has three training rooms available to rent, with mats, equipment, changing rooms and boxing bags.
