MFKiG Łódź

The International Festival of Comics and Games in Łódź (MFKiG) is a major Polish cultural event devoted to comics, games and interactive media. Described as the largest event of its kind in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe, it brings together creators and enthusiasts of visual storytelling and electronic interactive entertainment. Until 1998, the festival operated under the name National Convention of Comic Creators. Its 30th edition, held in 2019 at the Expo-Łódź venue, attracted more than 20,000 visitors.

The festival offers a varied programme for attendees, including a comics and games exhibition area, video game and tabletop gaming zones, guest appearances, autograph sessions, tournaments and a marketplace featuring exhibitors. Its competitions recognise work across several fields, with categories and events for Polish comics, children’s and young people’s comics, debut creators, translation, humorous comic strips, publishing projects and cosplay. The festival also presents awards and supports emerging talent through contests for young creators.
