Die Komische Oper Berlin ist eines der weltweit innovativsten Opernhäuser. Ihr Programm aus Opern, Operetten, Musicals und Konzerten ist derzeit im Schillertheater zu erleben – und unter dem Motto »Raus in die Stadt, rein in die Kieze!« an vielen anderen Orten der Hauptstadt wie dem Flughafen Berlin Tempelhof, im KINDL – Zentrum für zeitgenössische Kunst oder im Konzerthaus Berlin. Unter der Leitung der Ko-Intendanz Susanne Moser und Philip Bröking und zusammen mit dem Generalmusikdirektor James Gaffigan sucht und entwickelt die Komische Oper Berlin zeitgemäße und richtungsweisende Formen für klassisches, modernes und zukünftiges Musiktheater. Ihr Ziel: möglichst viele Zuschauer:innen aus allen Bevölkerungsgruppen zu erreichen mit dem, wofür das Opernhaus steht: Glamour und Witz, Leichtigkeit und Tiefe, Sinn und Sinnlichkeit sowie musikalische Exzellenz und Spielfreude.

Komische Oper Berlin, located in the heart of the capital city between the Brandenburg Gate, Museum Island, and Checkpoint Charlie, is a brand that represents contemporary and vibrant music theater. With its magnificent neo-baroque auditorium, it can accommodate 1190 spectators.
