The Gennady Komissarov Foundation for Support of Young Scientists is a nonprofit organization established in memory of Professor Gennady Germanovich Komissarov, a distinguished chemist specializing in photochemistry and biophysics. Continuing his commitment to research, the Foundation helps young people overcome financial barriers and build careers in science. Its support is aimed at researchers aged 18 to 27 who study natural or technical sciences, have a defined research project, and work in a university department, laboratory, or research institute.

Through grants and competitions, the Foundation provides funding for laboratory materials and equipment, monthly financial assistance, and travel to scientific conferences, forums, symposia, and research schools. Applicants may seek up to 200,000 rubles for project supplies and equipment, monthly payments of 20,000 rubles for up to ten months, or up to 50,000 rubles toward eligible scientific-event travel costs. Other initiatives include the Young Scientists 2.0 program, scientific internships, the Sintez Case competition, and the Gennady Komissarov Prize.
