Komunque Donne ODV is a volunteer organisation based in the Oristano area of Italy, founded in 2018 to support women affected by breast cancer. It brings together women who have undergone breast cancer treatment and professionals with expertise in oncology. Through mutual support, listening and shared experience, the association aims to provide practical companionship throughout different stages of illness and promote overall physical and emotional wellbeing.
Its activities include prevention initiatives, such as campaigns and free breast examinations and ultrasounds, as well as events and conferences that raise awareness of breast cancer and its treatments. The association also supports healthcare facilities through donations and projects intended to improve the welcome and care environment in oncology wards and hospices. People can participate by joining the association or contribute through donations and Italy’s five-per-thousand tax allocation. Komunque Donne ODV invites women facing cancer to find connection and support, while encouraging early diagnosis as an important part of prevention.
