Kona Karate

Kona Karate is a family-owned martial arts school in Centerville, Utah, serving children and families across Davis County. Founded by Victor and now run by his son Te Lawrence, the dojo teaches Kenpo with a lineage traced to American Kenpo founder Ed Parker. Its instructors emphasize practical training alongside focus, confidence, respect, discipline, fitness, and self-defense.

Programs include preschool classes for ages 3–5, kids’ karate, teen karate, and evening adult classes, with beginners welcome. The school also offers an introductory assessment and a new-student package of four weeks of classes with an official uniform. Students progress through Kona’s graded curriculum and earn belt promotions through testing.

Kona Karate describes its training space as a purpose-built dojo with wall-to-wall mats and room for tournament practice.
