Konijn in Nood

Stichting Konijn in Nood is a passionate animal welfare organization dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of rabbits in the Netherlands. Founded with the mission to raise awareness about the harsh realities faced by rabbits in the commercial livestock and pet industries, the foundation actively campaigns against the sale of rabbits in garden centers and pet stores. Their initiatives include a petition urging major retailers to cease these sales, highlighting the associated suffering and impulsive purchasing behaviors that lead to abandoned pets.

The organization conducts research, revealing alarming conditions in rabbit farming and calling for improved treatment and housing standards. They emphasize that rabbits are sensitive animals requiring proper care, space, and environmental enrichment, which the current commercial practices fail to provide. Through public awareness campaigns and grassroots efforts, including signature collection for their petitions, Stichting Konijn in Nood strives to give rabbits a voice and promote a more compassionate society towards all animals. By supporting their cause, you can help ensure a better quality of life for these deserving creatures.
