Koodikerho is a weekly after-school club for schoolchildren, organized by volunteers, where children learn the basics of programming in a meaningful way over a period of seven weeks. In Koodikerho, children learn to draw shapes and move characters using code. They also create games and program robots! Koodikerho is designed for children in third grade and above, aged 9 and older, and is open to both boys and girls.

The clubs are held in schools across Finland, facilitated by volunteers who are passionate about programming, including teachers and professionals in the IT industry. The Koodikerho. fi network connects schools, students, and volunteer club leaders, providing ready-made, openly shared teaching materials aligned with the new primary school curriculum.
