Kookaburra Care

Kookaburra Care is a disability support provider serving NDIS participants across the Central Coast of New South Wales. The organisation offers Supported Independent Living, short-term accommodation and respite, and one-to-one community access. Its services are person-centred and trauma-informed, with support shaped around each participant’s routines, goals, choices and support needs.

Supported Independent Living includes 24/7 assistance in a participant’s own home. Short stays provide a change of scene for participants and a break for families, while community access helps people take part in activities such as shopping, sport, gym visits, appointments and social catch-ups. Kookaburra Care also describes its approach as deliberately focused on consistent teams, clear communication and participant choice.

Staff are introduced and inducted with attention to individual plans, and support is designed to promote safety, predictability and independence. The organisation provides progress reporting linked to participant goals, with records traceable to shift notes and restrictive practices documented as authorised.
