Köping Basket is a basketball association based in Köping, Sweden, now known as Köping Stars. The name change, announced in autumn 2022, brought the club’s identity together under Köping Stars, previously the name of its men’s team in the Swedish Basketball League (SBL). The association supports basketball for young players through its youth section, with teams and youth information available through a dedicated website. It has also highlighted its youth development programme, including the work of a sports director for the youth section, and has brought together players from many age groups for club events and season-ending celebrations.
Köping Basket’s activities include basketball gatherings and summer basketball at KB-hallen, as well as club news, photo galleries and an archive of articles dating back to the website’s launch in 2004. The association provides information about membership fees, policies and its values, and invites community support through Svenska Spel’s Gräsroten initiative. Its website also directs visitors to the Köping Stars men’s team, youth basketball resources, a club shop and Swedish and international basketball organisations.
