Korea Future is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to investigating and documenting human rights violations and international crimes within the penal system of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). Established in 2017, Korea Future operates from offices in The Hague, Seoul, and London. Their team is composed of investigators, legal analysts, and expert consultants.

Supported by various states, grant-making foundations, and public donations, Korea Future aims to bring meaningful justice and accountability to human rights violations and crimes committed within the DPRK penal system. The penal system in North Korea is the primary tool used by the ruling Workers' Party to suppress political dissidents, leading to widespread and systematic violations and crimes. Prior to the establishment of Korea Future, there was a lack of credible and legally-grounded investigations focused on these violations, hindering efforts to end impunity.

Korea Future fills this crucial gap by providing credible documentation and legal analysis of human rights violations and international crimes, which can be used as evidence in accountability proceedings under national and international law.
