Farma Korienky is a small family farm in Zaježová, Slovakia, combining traditional rural life with practical services and hands-on activities. The farm focuses on ecological livestock keeping, with horses and cattle grazing on its pastures, and also maintains a permaculture garden that provides fresh organic vegetables. Visitors can enjoy horseback rides suited to riders ranging from beginners to experienced equestrians; the farm’s horses are prepared for work both under saddle and from the ground.
Beyond farm activities, Korienky offers landscaping, excavation and earthworks in the Zvolen, Detva and Krupina districts, using a JCB CX4 tractor-loader backhoe. The farm also hosts courses, including blacksmithing and excavator operation, and has a blacksmith’s workshop among its activities. Accommodation is currently being prepared.
The family moved to Zaježová in 2019 and has been restoring an old stone farmhouse, aiming to preserve its original features and use traditional materials such as wood and stone. Their work reflects an interest in sustainable living, craftsmanship and connection with the land.
