Korup-Ubberud Local Historical Association preserves and shares the history of Korup, Ubberud and their surrounding communities in Denmark. Through its two local archives, the association collects and makes accessible historical records, photographs, recordings and other materials documenting local life. The collections are registered in Arkibas, a nationwide archive database, and can be searched through Arkiv.dk. Visitors can also contact the archives to learn more about their collections and access available material.
The association publishes local history, including yearbooks, and shares personal recollections and stories from residents. Its website features historical articles, archive news, meeting information and details about events and publications. It also helps people explore history in the landscape: together with Ubberud.dk, the association has installed QR codes at four locations in the Højbjerg area, where visitors can listen to stories connected with each place. The archives preserve copies of TVKorup programmes and can provide copies on request. Membership helps support the archives’ daily work, while the association’s Facebook presence offers another way to follow local history updates.
