KOŠ Ružomberok

Klub orientačných športov Ružomberok (KOŠ Ružomberok) is a volunteer sports club founded in 2007 in the Liptov region of Slovakia. It promotes orienteering as a way to combine physical activity, map-reading and discovery of the natural landscape. The club welcomes children, young people and adults, including recreational runners, hikers and anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors.

KOŠ Ružomberok develops several disciplines: foot orienteering, mountain bike orienteering (MTBO) and ski orienteering. It holds regular training sessions, including activities in Ružomberok and Pribylina, and shares training routes that can also be used by the public. The club maps local terrain, maintains a map archive and organises races and other events. Its experience includes hosting major international competitions, such as Tatry Orienteering from 2017 to 2019.

Training and exploration take place in locations around Liptov, including Hrabovo, Malinô Brdo and forests beneath Choč. Through its activities, the club helps participants build fitness, independence and logical thinking while discovering the region.
