With a mission to connect listeners, KOSU offers a diverse array of local music through The Spy, alongside award-winning local news coverage and NPR news content. Additionally, KOSU features signature public radio news and cultural programs from PRX, American Public Media, and independent producers.

In a groundbreaking partnership, KOSU and The Spy joined forces to introduce a suite of shows focused on raising the bar for Oklahoma music, showcasing the state's talents. Maintaining its independence, The Spy collaborates with KOSU to bring these unique programs to the airwaves and support fundraising efforts. Since its inception, KOSU has evolved and expanded its reach, covering over 54,000 square miles and becoming the 100th NPR member station in 1971.
