Koto

Design by Koto is a full-service interior design studio based in Helsinki, creating spaces shaped around each client’s wishes and needs. The studio plans residential and commercial interiors, from homes and holiday properties to offices, cafés and other public spaces. Its work balances visual appeal with practical considerations, including how rooms function, how light is used, and the comfort of people who live or work there. Design approaches range from warm, inviting interiors with soft textiles, wood and greenery to modern spaces defined by natural materials, clear colour palettes and considered details.

Koto offers interior design, styling, consultations and turnkey services. For turnkey projects, the team can manage the process and arrange necessary purchases, with products delivered directly to the client’s home. The studio also provides training and lectures. Its broad project portfolio includes homes and bathrooms in Helsinki-area neighbourhoods, holiday homes, offices and cafés, as well as projects connected with housing fairs.
