About Kozyr-Kowalski
Stanisław Kozyr-Kowalski (1936-2004) was a prominent Polish sociologist and full professor at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, where he headed the Department of Theoretical and Classical Sociology. His research interests spanned theoretical sociology, the sociology of economy and social differentiation, as well as the sociology of knowledge. Drawing inspiration from classic sociological and philosophical thinkers such as Hegel, Marx, M.
Weber, Durkheim, and Tocqueville, Kozyr-Kowalski developed a unique theoretical approach he termed neoclassical sociology. His work did not adhere to conventional narratives of sociological thought but instead provided a novel paradigm that contributed significantly to the field. The brand associated with his name serves as a vital resource for students, researchers, and practitioners interested in sociology and its applications, featuring a wealth of articles, biographical accounts, and bibliographies that chronicle his significant contributions from the 1960s onwards.
This brand stands as a testament to his legacy and offers insights into his profound impact on sociological theory
