K.P. Ruuskanen Foundation is a Finnish foundation established in 1948 to promote further study opportunities in business education. Its initial capital was donated by K.P. Ruuskanen Oy in honour of the 100th anniversary of its founder’s birth. Today, the foundation supports international experience and continued learning by awarding grants and scholarships to business students and teachers at Tampere University of Applied Sciences and Tampere Vocational College Tredu.
Funding is available for individuals and projects, with awards varying in size. The foundation’s support is intended to make further studies and international opportunities possible. It also funds initiatives that benefit students: from 2023 to 2025, it awarded a total of €170,000 to develop the School to Belong programme, which aims to reduce loneliness among students in commercial fields.
The foundation accepts applications during announced application periods and provides guidance on funding opportunities and eligibility. It generally does not fund theses, Erasmus-supported exchanges or internships, or teachers’ trade-fair visits.
