kraamzorg de Ooievaar

Kraamzorg de Ooievaar is a home maternity-care provider serving Alkmaar and the surrounding area. Led by Kelly, the practice supports mothers, babies, partners, and the wider family during the first days after birth, with care tailored to each household’s needs and natural family rhythm. Its holistic, natural approach prioritizes calm, rest, and time for parents to bond with their newborn while helping them build confidence in their new roles.

Care includes practical guidance and support around infant feeding, whether families choose breastfeeding or another approach. For breastfeeding, Kelly offers advice, guidance, and helpful tools to address early challenges. The service also emphasizes maternal recovery through warmth, reduced stimulation, and supportive routines. During the maternity week, families are offered a nourishing warm breakfast and restorative soup for lunch, reflecting the practice’s focus on food as part of recovery.

Expectant parents can register directly or arrange an introductory conversation. For registrations made before 34 weeks of pregnancy, Kelly schedules an intake and introductory meeting to learn about the family and prepare for care at home.
