Kraamzorg met Passie is an independent maternity-care service run by Leny Smienk, serving Lelystad, Dronten and nearby areas in the Netherlands. With a personal, family-focused approach, Leny supports parents and their newborn during the first days after birth, helping the household settle into a safe and confident start. Care is tailored to each family’s wishes, discussed during an intake meeting, and may include support around a home birth, practical help with household tasks, and guidance in caring for the baby.
Older siblings are also welcomed and encouraged to take part in this important family transition. Leny’s aims are to support the mother’s recovery, the baby’s growth and parents’ confidence. She continues professional training and works in contact with the family’s midwives.
Her experience includes caring for families with twins. Kraamzorg met Passie is affiliated with Coöperatie Kraamzorggroep UA; the website notes that care may be reimbursed through health insurance, including basic insurance. The service also introduces families to Sprouts for additional pregnancy, birth and parenting support
