Kraft der Berge

Kraft der Pferde is a nature-based animal and equine experience centre at the Säumerhof in Wegscheid, Bavaria. The farm provides a welcoming home for horses, donkeys, mules, chickens, a dog and cats, while inviting visitors to slow down and connect with animals, nature and themselves. No prior riding experience is needed for its horse-assisted activities.

The programme includes pack-animal hikes ranging from two-hour outings to multi-day journeys, with scheduled tours in the Mühlviertel and Switzerland. Depending on the tour, arrangements include guidance, accommodation and meals, luggage transport, and care for the pack animals. Visitors can also take part in horse riding, groundwork, coaching and therapy, seminars, and restorative stays at the farm.

Riding instruction is led by Anke Mangels, an experienced trainer who focuses on communication between horse and rider and on supporting each horse’s health through individually adapted training. The farm also offers the Kraftnetz seminar house for events, with a 45-square-metre seminar room, kitchen, common room and eight overnight places.
