Krakenia

Krakenia Oy develops and supplies Kraken bottom fish traps designed to make fishing efficient and straightforward. The products grew from the company’s own fishing experience and have been refined over several years, with attention to catch performance, durability, and ease of use. Kraken traps are available in heights from 1.5 to 5 metres for lake and sea fishing, with taller models possible on request. Fence lengths can be made to customers’ preferences, and flags, ropes, and other accessories are available to create a ready-to-deploy package.

Practical features include quick installation, colour-coded sections, automatic tightening, a hauling rope that draws the trap together, and a collection sleeve to simplify emptying. The design also aims to reduce fish becoming caught in the netting. The netting is primarily polyethylene, while metal components use aluminium or stainless steel. Krakenia offers models including Kraken 1.5, Kraken 3.5, Kraken 5, and Kraken Ocean. The company is based in Kontioranta, Finland, and invites customers to enquire about products and custom options.
